Tom Cruise’s seat at Wimbledon has raised questions about his relationship with the British royal family, with viewers asking, “Isn’t he close to them? Why is he sitting in a less favorable place?”

If you look at all of the best-dressed dudes at this year’s Wimbledon, you’ll notice one thing in common: every single suit either came in navy or grey or cream (if you’re lucky).

But Tom Cruise has always been someone who experiments with his wardrobe. He loves muscle-fit polos.

He loves wearing his sunglasses at night. And on the final day of The Championships, he loved purple suits, the kind that only the most confident fashion guys would own.

Up in the VIP stands, the Top Gun star sat alongside some of the biggest names in fashion, film, TV and sports.

Including the Stan Smith – because this is the most prestigious tennis tournament in history after all.

Up top, he threw on a pair of Maverick-esque steel aviators, his fave light blue dress shirt, and a silky knitted tie.

But rather than going for a navy or grey or cream suit (like everyone else), Cruise went for a purple one instead. Because, of course!

Aubergine, burgundy, grape, mauve, plum – whatever you want to call it, it’s no secret that purple suits are something of an enigma when it comes to tailoring. It looks different, for sure, but showing up in one will immediately place you in a more advanced class of menswear. Y’know, with all the guys who understand the basic rules of suiting, but aren’t afraid to test the limits of said rules.

The Oscar nominee’s blazer featured notched lapels, side pockets, and a pair of strong shoulders that showed off his muscular frame. He then slipped on some matching trousers, and some nice, leather shoes. It’s simple, it’s clean, and it’s a classic. And that’s exactly the kinda style that you should be going for when you’re rocking a shade that GQ’s very own Murray Clark calls the “hardest colour to wear.”

But if anyone can pull off the “hardest colour to wear,” it’s Tom Cruise. I mean, this is the same man who makes every single Mission: Impossible film actually, well… possible.

When it comes to fashion, Tom Cruise has always been known for his bold choices and confident style. While most men stick to navy, grey, or cream suits, Cruise stood out at Wimbledon in a striking purple suit. The unconventional color immediately set him apart and showcased his fashion-forward mindset.

His purple blazer featured notched lapels, side pockets, and strong shoulders that complemented his muscular frame. Paired with matching trousers and leather shoes, Cruise’s outfit exuded simplicity and classic elegance.

Many consider purple to be the “hardest color to wear,” but Cruise effortlessly pulled it off with his signature charm and charisma. His daring choice at such a prestigious event further solidified his status as a style icon.

By pushing the boundaries of traditional menswear and embracing unique colors, Cruise embodies the spirit of a true fashion maverick. His willingness to experiment and stand out from the crowd serves as an inspiration for men looking to make a statement with their wardrobe choices.
