Katie Price has detailed her experience at the Isle of Wight festival as she hit out at drunk festival-goers.

The former glamour model, 46, attended the annual music event with her younger sister Sophie,

 and her Married At First Sight UK boyfriend, JJ Slater. On her most recent episode of her podcast, titled The Katie Price Show, 

the mum-of-five revealed that she had an incredible time at the festival watching the likes of S Club and Jessie J perform.

However, the downfall came when she and her sister witnessed several intoxicated young people ‘laying on the ground’.

In the latest podcast offering, Katie revealed that she has ‘been turned off alcohol’ in recent months

and has been trying her hand at sobriety, which is working out well for her. Throughout the three-day festival, neither Katie or her pregnant sister drank a sip of alcohol, and instead drank tea and soft drinks while watching the performances unfold.

However, the same can’t be said for the majority of festival-goers, according to the famous sisters. Detailing their experience at Isle of Wight festival, both Katie and Sophie said that the only downfall was seeing people so intoxicated that they couldn’t stand.

Katie said: “Me and Sophie must have looked like the sad b*****ds there, just sipping on tea. Everyone else around us were on drink, but I enjoyed it. I could if had a drink, but I’ve just done all these performances lately without any drink for Dutch courage, but I don’t even want to drink.”

Sophie then added: “When we were leaving to go home, some of the f***ing young lot were sprawled out on the ground. They were all pissed, and some of them were asleep on the floor. What a waste – what a waste of a day.” To which Katie replied: “It is. At least I got to take it all in and we got up the next day with no hangovers and we did it all again.”

“I can’t imagine three or four days of drinking. I’m a lightweight with just one day of drinking, let alone three days. Imagine how some of them feel today. I’ve just gone off alcohol, I just don’t want it anymore. It was fun to do sober, and I’m loving everything sober at the minute. You can do things without drink, and you see things differently when you’re sober and you take it in more instead of worrying about when the next drink is coming. I love it,” Katie added.

During the podcast episode, Katie also apologised to fans for not getting in any photos with them. The star admitted that she felt that if she got into one photo, she would end up having to say yes to everyone in that case. The mum-of-five admitted she just wanted a ‘break’ from being a celebrity for one weekend, and even enjoyed not having access to the VIP area for once and instead being the crowd with all the other fans.
