Iconic moment at Glastonbury: Michael J. Fox astounds the crowd by joining Coldplay, creating history with a record-breaking performance and touching millions with an emotional moment!

Michael J. Fox stunned Glastonbury as he made a surprise appearance during Coldplay’s record-breaking headline set on Saturday.

The 100,000 strong crowd and BBC viewers were left in tears as the Back To The Future actor, 63, who is battling Parkinson’s,

appeared on stage in his wheelchair to play the guitar during Fix You and Humankind.

It was a milestone moment for the band, who made history by becoming the first group to headline Glastonbury five times,

with Chris Martin, 47, crediting Michael for being the ‘main reason’ they are in a group.

He said: ‘The main reason why we’re in a band is because of watching ‘Back to the Future’, so thank you to our hero forever and one of the most amazing people on Earth,

Mr Michael J. Fox. Thank you so much, Michael’.

The British band made their debut at the iconic festival in the New Bands Tent in 1999, before headlining in 2002, 2005, 2011, and 2016.

After the camera searched the crowd, the frontman serenaded Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis, before the beloved Hollywood actor was revealed to the audience.

Chris sung: ‘Here is another legendary Michael, one who just totally rocks, with his chuck Berry quiff and the way he punched [Back To The Future villain] Biff, ladies and Gentleman please welcome Michael J.Fox’.

The actor, who is an avid musician and famously played the guitar in the iconic 1985 sci-fi movie, was first diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s at just 30 years of age in 1991, before revealing the news publicly in 1998.

Parkinson’s disease is a condition in which parts of the brain become progressively damaged over many years, according to the NHS website.

The NHS says there are three major symptoms, including tremors or shaking, slowness of movement and muscle stiffness.

Two years after going public with his diagnosis, Michael created The Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000.

Since then, the foundation – which he founded with his wife of 36 years, Tracy Pollan – has raised over $2 billion for Parkinson’s research.

Viewers were left in ‘tears’ following his surprise appearance as he joined the group in a rendition of their hit Fix You.

Michael J. Fox’s surprise appearance at Glastonbury was truly a touching moment for both the audience and Coldplay. His presence on stage during Fix You and Humankind left everyone in awe.

It’s incredible to see how Chris Martin credited Michael as the main reason Coldplay even formed as a band. The connection between the iconic actor and the band only adds to the magic of the moment.

As a famous musician himself, Michael’s passion for music was evident as he played the guitar on stage. It’s amazing to see how he continues to inspire others despite his battle with Parkinson’s.

The fact that Coldplay made history by headlining Glastonbury five times is a testament to their incredible talent and enduring popularity. Their journey from the New Bands Tent to headlining the festival is truly inspiring.

Michael J. Fox’s perseverance and determination in the face of Parkinson’s is truly admirable. The impact he has had through The Michael J. Fox Foundation is immeasurable, raising over $2 billion for research.

Overall, Michael’s surprise appearance at Glastonbury was not only a historic moment for Coldplay but also a powerful symbol of strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
