During Kate Middleton’s cancer treatment, Princess Charlotte’s sorrowful eyes betrayed her true emotions, appearing as if she might cry.

The young Princess was joined by her mum and aunt at the event

PRINCESS Charlotte struggled to hide her true feelings as she watched the Wimbledon men’s final today, which saw Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic and retain his Grand Slam title.

Charlotte, 9, was joined by her mother, the Princess of Wales and aunt, Pippa Middleton as the trio enjoyed a girls day out at SW19.

While Kate stunned in a purple Safiyaa dress, the young royal was seen sporting a £70 navy blue Guess dress outfit.

Navy is a colour Charlotte has worn numerous times in the past – and she also wore a blue bow in her hair.

Her brunette locks were half tied back in sweet plaits, secured with the bow.

Charlotte teamed the outfit with a pair of plain cream pumps.

During the tense match, which saw Alcaraz beat Djokovic 6-2, 6-2,7-6 (4), Charlotte delighted fans with her hilarious facial expressions.

The Princess clenched her teeth and bit her lip as she avidly watched the game unfold.

Ahead of the match, Charlotte couldn’t stop smiling, when she met Emma Radacanu.

The 21-year-old tennis pro gifted Princess Kate a beautiful bunch of flowers as she chatted away with the royals.

Kate received a standing ovation from the crowd as she made her way to her seat, as Charlotte proudly beamed up at her mother.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward revealed to The Sun why Kate decided to take Charlotte to Wimbledon today.

She said: “It was a long-held promise that Kate would take Charlotte to the finals as a special treat.

“Kate felt guilty she hadn’t been able to spend as much time as she would have liked to be with the kids because of her exhaustion after her treatment.

“Charlotte has always loved tennis and mum Kate took her to Hurlingham when she was quite young to play tennis there.”

She continued: “Tennis is a big family thing on both sides.

“So it is a super special day for Kate to be able to share it with Charlotte and much more fun for her to have Charlotte there and explain the details of what is going on.

“It’s also a distraction so she does not feel she is full and centre of everyone’s attention. Charlotte is there to deflect things away from her too. Kate was determined to be at Wimbledon on finals day if she possibly could.”

She said: “This is a positive sign for Kate’s recovery programme.

“But this is only her second appearance in a year and will possibly be her last until after the school holidays are over.”

Princess Charlotte of Cambridge looked absolutely adorable in her navy blue Guess dress outfit at the Wimbledon men’s final. The young royal sported a blue bow in her hair, complementing her brunette locks that were styled in sweet plaits. She completed her look with a pair of plain cream pumps, exuding charm and elegance.

During the intense match between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, Princess Charlotte captivated fans with her range of facial expressions. From clenching her teeth to biting her lip, she was fully invested in the game unfolding before her eyes.

Prior to the match, Charlotte had the opportunity to meet tennis pro Emma Radacanu, who gifted Princess Kate a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The 9-year-old royal couldn’t contain her excitement and was all smiles during the encounter.

According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Kate Middleton’s decision to take Charlotte to Wimbledon was a special treat that had been promised to her daughter. Despite Kate’s busy schedule, she wanted to ensure Charlotte had an unforgettable experience at the finals.

Tennis holds a special place in the family, as Kate has taken Charlotte to play tennis at Hurlingham from a young age. The sport is a bonding activity for the family, and Kate was thrilled to share the Wimbledon experience with her daughter.

This outing was not only a distraction for Kate but also a positive step in her recovery program. It was a rare appearance for Kate, and her presence at Wimbledon signifies her commitment to balancing her health and family responsibilities.
