Meghan Markle is facing calls to change her publicity tactic as she’s been criticised for her latest American Riviera Orchard announcement.
The Duchess of Sussex has released her very own line of dog treats, which were unveiled
as she gifted the product to her pet-owning pal Nacho Figueras.
However, Meghan has faced a backlash over the timing of the product drop as it coincided with the Royal Family’s appearance at Trooping the Colour.
She was accused of trying to steal the spotlight away from the royals, given it
was Princess Kate’s first return to public life since announcing her cancer diagnosis.
Publicist Sara Fruman has now offered some advice to Meghan going forward.
Speaking to The Express, she said: “There are plenty of strategies she can use to get publicity, and the most impactful would be to get creative and authentic – neither of which Meghan seems to be doing. It appears that Meghan is either getting poor advice or she’s not listening to the advice she is given. The latter may be more likely.”
Her comments come as Meghan seems to have been working on adding another product to her American Riviera Orchard range. According to sources, Meghan will be following in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue, Brad Pitt and Sarah Jessica Parker by launching her very own rose wine.
While it’s unclear if Meghan and Prince Harry have a vineyard on their Montecito estate, sources have told the Daily Mail that the wine will be produced in California and it’s likely to be a huge money maker.
Meghan is a big wine fan and even named her her blog The Tig after her favourite red wine, the exclusive Italian red Tignanello. It was also reported that she and Harry indulged in several glasses of rose wine on some of their first dates together.
Meghan has also been trialling some other products for her American Riviera Orchard business. Earlier this year, she sent jam to her famous pals so they could taste test her new product.
Unfortunately for fans, there has been no official confirmation as to when the products will be officially released. The Instagram page for the brand still only shows the logo, with no information about a release date.
It seems that Meghan Markle’s venture into the world of business with her American Riviera Orchard brand has sparked some controversy. Despite her intentions, the timing of her product releases has led to criticism and accusations of trying to steal the spotlight. Publicist Sara Fruman has suggested that Meghan could benefit from taking a more creative and authentic approach to her publicity tactics.
While Meghan faced backlash for her dog treats launch coinciding with the Royal Family’s appearance at Trooping the Colour, she appears to be undeterred. Rumors suggest that she is gearing up to release her own rose wine, following in the footsteps of other celebrities who have ventured into the alcohol industry. Meghan’s appreciation for wine is well-known, and the potential success of her wine venture in California could be significant.
In addition to her wine project, Meghan has been experimenting with other products under her American Riviera Orchard brand. From sending jam to her famous friends for taste-testing to teasing new releases on social media, Meghan is clearly invested in her business endeavors. Fans eagerly await official confirmation of the product launches, as the Instagram page still only features the brand’s logo.
As Meghan continues to navigate the world of entrepreneurship, it will be interesting to see how she evolves her publicity tactics and expands her product offerings. Stay tuned for more updates on Meghan Markle’s business ventures!
